The Executives’ Association Announces Rachel Leistikow Murany as Newest Honorary Member

The Executives’ Association of San Diego is proud to announce that Rachel Leistikow Murany has been named the organization’s newest Honorary Member. Rachel previously served as a dedicated and valued member for nearly 22 years, contributing her time, leadership, and business expertise to the Association.

“Rachel was an exemplary example of the type of business owner belonging to the group. We wish Rachel the best in her retirement and look forward to seeing her,” said Charles Murch, Chair of The Executives’ Association of San Diego.

Rachel’s honorary membership recognizes her long-standing commitment to the organization, her contributions to the business community, and her legacy of service within the Association.

Rachel Leistikow Murany came to us from the Midwest, where she grew up on a dairy farm near Decorah, Iowa, was crowned state Dairy Princess, and graduated with Honors from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Art Education. She was a high school art teacher for many years thereafter in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Phoenix, Arizona.

She founded Mail Management Group (MMG) in 1988 after having worked as a lead sales rep for various local marketing firms. In fact, upon moving to San Diego in 1979, she became the first woman to sell color separations and one of the first women to sell printing in San Diego County! Her company was a premier provider of direct mail advertising services, handling everything from sourcing and managing mailing lists, to printing and addressing, to fulfillment services, and much more.

Rachel currently sits on the Board of Directors of the East County Chamber of Commerce, serving on several committees. She has also been active with Women In Leadership, and has been a proud sponsor of the event for the past several years. In 2003, she joined the San Diego Executives Association and was an active member until she sold her company in March of 2025.

Recently, Rachel received the Best First-Time Filmmaker Award at the San Diego Movie Awards, along with her partner, co-writer, and co-producer Al Lefcourt. Her performance in the film garnered a Best Actress award in San Francisco and she plans to pursue acting professionally upon retirement from MMG.

Rachel and Al live in Santee and enjoy occasional visits with his kids and grandkids in LA County.
